Osamu Okamura

Osamu Okamura (1973) is a Czech-Japanese architect, university lecturer, and interpreter of urban planning and urbanism. From February 2019 to January 2023, he served as dean of the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec (TUL). From 2005 to 2012, he was editor-in-chief of the architectural magazine ERA 21. From 2013 to 2017, he was program director of the international festival and conference for more livable cities, reSITE. In 2014, he was selected by Res Publica Nowa magazine as one of the „New Europe 100 Outstanding Challengers“ among 100 personalities who contributed to the spread of world-class innovation in Central and Eastern Europe.
