Alžběta Moravcová

Alžběta Moravcová is an author and illustrator of children’s books, a graphic designer, and a creator of murals in public spaces. She studied illustration and graphic design at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in Plzeň, where her book The Cry from Sodom earned the Dean’s Award. She illustrated the book The Beginnings of the Church in Jerusalem (2022), part of a series presenting young Czech and Slovak illustrators, as well as the publication We Draw Delicately, We Sing Lightly (2022), focused on developing children’s fine motor skills. She regularly contributes illustrations to the magazine Informatorium for Kindergarten Teachers, and her work has been exhibited at the Graphic of the Year showcase and at the Lustr Festival of Children’s Illustration. In 2025, Albatros Publishing released her first author‘s book, Mr. Bramble’s Darkest Hour, a story about a badger who works as a tunnel inspector and has to deal with a power outage. She is a member of the art collective Lemur nazdi, with which she creates large-scale murals in public spaces as well as site-specific installations.
